My kids and I cannot play this game often enough. Munchkin gets my highest endorsement, and the Adventure Time set (and its addon) are kid-friendly.
The bottom row is for cards and discards. Level 1 is the room in the middle row on the far right (with the torch and altar); progression goes to the left and into the top row, then to the right. The mountain is level 9 and of course at level 10 the game is over. I design but don't paint a lot, and those rooms are tiny (about 3" across)! Still, it ought to suit us.
